Georgia State's goodwill ambassador, mascot Pounce, is always on the go to lend a hand and support to his beloved Panthers.
Pounce took time to donate some of his blood at the Sept. 25 Blood Drive, while offering encouragement and thanks to the hundreds of donors who took the time to support the Athletics Blood Drive.
Pounce spent the past weekend of Oct. 6th attending the Panther Family Weekend and the home Volleyball match that turned into a CAA win for his Panthers to send him home happy.
Tuesday, Oct. 9, Pounce gladly represents State at the Starlight Starbright Mascot Mania at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital at 7:30 p.m. Pounce and his fraternity brothers of other schools, teams and organizations always put aside rivalries when it is for a good cause.
On Thursday, Pounce makes an appearance for all of Georgia State at the Student Center Ballroom with the Benefits Fair at noon.
This Saturday, Pounce puts his feet into action for the American Liver Foundation "Liver Walk for the Cure" at 8 a.m. at Stone Mountain.
Monday, Pounce pulls out the golf bag (yes, he does have a golf club) and spends the day at the Athletics Golf Classic at Eagle's Landing. Pounce starts early to welcome the hundred-plus golfers and stays late to present the trophies after both the morning and afternoon sessions.
On Tuesday, the 16th, Pounce heads off to Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital at 4:30 for another Starlight Starbright Mascot Mania event for the kids.
Pounce has already made his plans to attend the PanthersJam basketball kickoff event on Thursday night, Oct. 18, at the Sports Arena, And, he is ready to be at the Volleyball Senior Day match on Friday, Oct. 26th and the Women's Soccer Senior Day match on Sunday, Oct. 28.
And, of course, Pounce does his daily exercise to get in shape for the women's and men's upcoming basketball seasons that start in early November.
Pounce has the true, blue Panthers spirit. Give him a high paw for his efforts when you see him out and around. He'll really appreciate seeing you if you're in your Panther blue.
