Nitkova and Kozmina face each other in finals at Thomasville Invitational

Thomasville, Ga. - Georgia State women's tennis players sophomores Martina Nitkova and Dariana Kozmina will face each other in the singles finals of the main draw at the Thomasville Invitational on Sunday scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Nitkova dropped Clemson's Alexandra Luc in the semifinals on Saturday. Kozmina defeated Auburn Montgomery's Kamila Dadakjovjaeva in her semifinal match.

"It was a great win for Martina [Nitkova] to get over a Clemson player," stated Panthers assistant coach Klara Miklikova.

The tandem of Nitkova and Kozmina, ranked No. 1 in this invitational, also advanced to the doubles finals to compete against Auburn Montgomery's Nadia Lysak and Kamila Dadakhovjaeva, ranked No. 2, at 1:00 p.m Sunday afternoon. Nitkova and Kozmina downed Abraham Baldwin's Lindsey Jacob and Christina Oliveria in the first round and Clemson's Samantha Eppelsheimer and Alexandra Luc in the second round.
