Women's tennis advances to semifinals at Thomasville Invitational

Thomasville, Ga. - Georgia State women's tennis players sophomores Martina Nitkova and Dariana Kozmina advance to the semifinals of the main draw after winning their matches at the Thomasville Invitational on Friday. Nitkova defeated Karina Rezon (Valdosta St.) and Margot Carter (Tennessee Tech) decisively in the first two rounds of competition. Kozmina downed Central Florida's Anna Yakimchenkova and West Florida's Tammy Kevey each in two sets.

Nitkova will face Alexandra Luc from Clemson and Kozmina will face Kamila Dadkhovjaeva from Auburn Montgomery. Both matches are the semifinals of the main draw and scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. They will pair up later for doubles action.
