The Georgia State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-12, 30-19, 30-20) decision to Northeastern (9-8, 6-3 CAA) in Colonial Athletic Association action Sunday afternoon at the Sports Arena.
The Panthers struggled to get into an offensive flow, hitting -.028 for the match to Northeastern's .245. Junior Jordan Thomas had 14 assists and eight digs for the Panthers in the effort.
Sophomore Michelle Trimble continued improving her all-around game, recording eight digs, six kills, and three total blocks. Junior Jordan Thomas had 14 assists and narrowly missed a double-double with eight digs. Senior libero Christen Garcia had a team-high 15 digs.
Northeastern's Brianna Seitz and Kira Batura each had a double-double (Seitz - 11 kills/10 digs; Batura - 12 kills/11 digs) while libero Leah Neubeck had 18 digs for a match-high.
After one trip through the double round-robin CAA schedule, the Panthers sit at 3-6 in league play and 6-13 overall. They will try to improve on their standing when they face Virginia Commonwealth this Friday at 5:00 p.m. in Richmond, Va.
