BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Georgia State remains undefeated (2-0-0) after securing a 1-0 shutout victory over UAB on Tuesday night at PNC Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GSU took the lead in the 41st minute when defender Kenny Yedmel netted his first goal of the year, assisted by Virgil Dall'Agnol.
The Panthers dominated the narrative in the second half with strategic play on both ends to stifle the Blazers defense and keep them out of scoring position.
Keeper Jackson Burrell went the full 90 minutes untouched, standing tall to deny both shots on target and record a clean sheet.
GSU controlled the pace and kept the pressure high, out shooting UAB 12-10, placing four shots on goal. Damian Segura led the Panthers' attack with a team-high three shots.
