HUNTINGTON, WV -- Georgia State fell 4-2 to Marshall on Saturday afternoon at Jack Cook Field.

With the loss, the Panthers fall to 10-10 overall and 0-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Marshall improves to 10-8 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Georgia State struck first in the opening inning. John Beverley reached on an error and moved into scoring position before Wills Maginnis brought him home with a sacrifice fly to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.

Marshall answered in the fourth inning to tie the game. After a pair of walks and a single loaded the bases, Jack Smith lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to even the score at 1-1.
