Tucker Leads Panthers with 18 Points in Loss to Troy

ATLANTA, GA -- Micah Tucker leads the Panthers with 18, but Georgia State ultimately fell 74-63 to Troy at home on Wednesday evening. 

The Georgia State offense put on a ball-movement clinic, recording 14 assists on 22 made shots. 

The Panthers had two players score in double figures, led by Micah Tucker, who had 18 points. Malachi Brown added 13 points and four assists and Anthony Enoh added four points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Enoh pulled down four offensive rebounds to lead the Georgia State offense which grabbed 10 boards and turned them into 12 second chance points.


How It Happened

After falling behind 22-19, Georgia State went on a 7-0 run with 3:33 left in the first half to take a 26-22 lead. Troy then responded to tie things up at 28-28 heading into halftime. Georgia State saw the bench step up in the period, as non-starters registered 13 of its 28 total points.

Troy then snagged a 54-43 advantage before Georgia State responded by going on a 6-0 run, finished off by Jelani Hamilton's three, to shrink the deficit to 54-49 with 6:58 to go in the contest. Troy responded and outscored the Panthers the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 74-63. Georgia State made the most of five offensive rebounds to tack on eight second chance points out of 35 total in the period.
