NASHVILLE -- Georgia State fell 70-21 to Vanderbilt on the road Saturday night.
The Panthers and Commodores are now 1-1 on the series.
Tj Finley led Georgia State's passing attack with 176 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns without throwing an interception.
Rashad Amos led all Panthers rushers with 25 yards in the contest, picking up 5 yards per carry. Jordon Simmons also added 21 yards on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, as well as one receiving touchdown.
The most prolific target for Georgia State quarterbacks was Ted Hurst, who caught seven passes for 71 yards. Dj Riles got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 57 yards and one touchdown.

Georgia State took a 3-0 lead over Vanderbilt after scoring the game's first points on the first drive of the game.Vanderbilt then scored to take a 21-3 lead before the Panthers put a touchdown on the board to close the gap and make it a 21-9 game.
After Vanderbilt scored to increase its lead to 42-9, Georgia State scored again with 10:11 remaining in the third quarter to close the gap and make it a 42-15 game.Vanderbilt scored to expand its lead to 70-15 before the Panthers scored again to close the gap and make it a 70-21 game. Neither team scored again in the game.
