ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Georgia State Men's Soccer fell behind 2-0 at the half and could not claw their way back into the game as they fell to UNC Asheville on the road by a final score of 3-1 on Tuesday night.
How it Happened
A pair of scores and a pair of saved shots sent UNC Asheville into the second half with a 2-0 lead over the visiting Panthers. Georgia State provided the response out of the the break. With under 30 minutes left to play,
Diego Soza and
Virgil Dall'Agnol combined to assist Samir-Mohammed Djeha on his first score of the season.
Hindering the offense's search for the tying goal, the Panthers committed a penalty on the defensive end, opening the door for UNC Asheville to take a 3-1 lead courtesy of a penalty kick. The Panthers lone shot on goal in the final 15 minutes was saved on its way in.
