ATLANTA — Georgia State Women's Basketball is excited to announce its 2024-25 season schedule, head coach Gene Hill anounced.
The Panthers will kick off their season with a pair of exhibition games, starting at home on Oct. 19, 2024, against Florida International, followed by a matchup at Samford on Oct. 26.
Georgia State opens its regular season with the SBC-MAC Challenge on Nov. 4, when the Panthers travel to Akron. As part of the SBC-MAC Challenge, the Panthers will then host another MAC opponent on Feb. 8, 2025. The opponent of this matchup will be released at a later date.
Additional key non-conference games include a visit to Georgia Tech on Nov. 8, a trip to Georgia on Nov. 14, and a home game against Berry on November 10.
Georgia State will host the GSU Thanksgiving Tournament from Nov. 26-28, with games against Purdue Fort Wayne, Furman and Campbell.
Other notable non-conference contests include matchups at Alabama on Dec. 2 and a home game against Suwanee on Dec. 8, before concluding non-conference play at Kennesaw State on Dec. 19.
The Panthers' conference schedule kicks off on Dec. 29 with a home game against Southern Miss. After enjoying a short holiday vacation, the team will face a challenging slate of Sun Belt Conference opponents, including Texas State, Louisiana, Georgia Southern and Troy. Key home games in the conference season include matchups against Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion, South Alabama and James Madison.
The regular season will conclude with road games at James Madison and Marshall before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament from March 4-10.
