ATLANTA -- The Georgia State football team opened preseason camp Thursday morning to begin preparations for the 2024 season.
McGee and the GSU' football team kickoff the season on Aug. 31, as the Panthers face Georgia Tech at 7:00 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Following the season opener, the Panthers return to Center Parc Credit Union Stadium for a four-game homestead, facing Chattanooga, Power 5 opponent Vanderbilt, in-state rivals Georgia Southern and conference opponents Old Dominion.

"The first day is always an enthusiastic time," head coach Dell McGee said. "We Still have a lot of work to do, but I was very pleased with how our guys pushed through the elements."
"The first day is always hard, but we pushed through," tight end Ahmon Green said. "We've been waiting for [the season] since January, so we're excited that it's here."
"We're working every day to get ready," defensive tackle Fuches Lewis II said. "We know what we have and we're confident in what we're building."
