Georgia State Athletics, in partnership with JavaVino Coffee Company and in collaboration with Affinity Licensing, is launching the first Georgia State-branded coffee, Light It Brew.
Â
Owned by Steve Franklin & Heddy Kuhl, JavaVino Coffee Company is located right here in Atlanta and sources coffee directly from their family-owned coffee farm, Selva Negra Coffee Estate, in Nicaragua. For six generations the family has been growing, roasting and brewing the coffee beans, providing the true seed-to-cup experience.
Â
"The coffee program we are starting is much more than just coming up with a good-tasting coffee blend," Franklin said. "GSU is creating a direct relationship with a coffee farm that is at the forefront of coffee sustainability and a model farm that delivers amazing social programs to its workers. Having this direct relationship with the farm will have a greater positive impact on the farm's programs, while giving GSU and its students and alumni access to this wonderful, high-quality coffee."
Â
"JavaVino is excited to be able to help link the farm with GSU and provide the local roasting services for this partnership."
Â
Launching on Tuesday, May 28, Light It Brew will be sold exclusively online at
JavaVino.com and
ShopGSUPanthers.com.
