Georgia Access Partners with Georgia State University Athletics and Robinson College of Business to Expand Awareness and Connect with Talent

ATLANTA— Georgia Access, the state's health insurance marketplace operated by the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, has announced a new partnership with Georgia State University Athletics and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business to increase awareness of health coverage options while connecting the growing organization with Georgia State students and prospective employees.

The partnership combines the broad reach of Georgia State Athletics with recruiting and employer-branding opportunities through the Robinson College of Business. Georgia Access will receive visibility across Georgia State Athletics and engage with Robinson students through career fairs and other employer engagement activities during the 2026–27 academic year.

Georgia Access launched as Georgia's state-based health insurance exchange in November 2024, providing Georgians with a state-based platform to shop for, compare and enroll in health insurance coverage. Today, approximately 1.4 million Georgians are enrolled in health plans through Georgia Access.

"Georgia Access is committed to meeting Georgians where they are and making sure they understand the health coverage resources available to them," said Insurance Commissioner John F. King. "Georgia State University gives us an opportunity not only to connect with students, families, alumni and communities throughout Atlanta and across Georgia, but also to introduce Georgia Access to students who could become part of our organization as we continue to grow."

As part of the partnership, Georgia Access will have visibility across Georgia State Athletics through in-venue branding and digital and social media. At Georgia State home football games this season, Georgia Access will sponsor the Are You Smarter than a Georgia 5th Grader on-field promotion. Fans can enter through Georgia State Athletics social media channels for a chance to participate.

"We are excited to welcome Georgia Access as a partner," said Georgia State Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb. "Georgia State Athletics brings together students, alumni, fans and families from across Atlanta and the state. This partnership allows Georgia Access to reach that audience while also connecting with the talented students studying at Georgia State."

As Georgia Access continues to grow, the organization is looking to build awareness among prospective employees and interns. Through Robinson's Career Advancement Center, Georgia Access will participate in the college's career expos and other employer-branding and recruiting activities designed to introduce employment opportunities to Robinson students broadly as well as to targeted student populations.

"Georgia Access has grown rapidly, and that growth creates opportunities for our students," said Robinson College Dean Richard Phillips. "We are pleased to connect Georgia Access with Robinson students as it builds its workforce and to help our students learn more about career opportunities with an important organization in our state."

Georgia Access offers Georgians multiple ways to explore and enroll in health coverage, including through the Georgia Access consumer portal, certified agents and other enrollment partners. Consumers can shop and compare plans and determine whether they qualify for financial assistance.

The partnership will continue throughout the 2026–27 academic and athletic year.
