Complete Men's Basketball Schedule Announced, Season Tickets on Sale

ATLANTA -- Games against in-state rivals Mercer and Kennesaw State, road trips to BYU, Charlotte and Belmont, and the inaugural Sun Belt-MAC Challenge highlight the Georgia State men's basketball non-conference schedule, announced Wednesday to complete the 2023-24 schedule. The 18-game Sun Belt Conference schedule was previously announced.

Season tickets for the 2023-24 campaign at the GSU Convocation Center are on sale now by visiting GeorgiaStateSports.com/tix or calling 404-413-4020 during business hours.

Georgia State, under second-year head coach Jonas Hayes, opens the 2023-24 regular season at Belmont on Monday, Nov. 6. After a trip to the Western Michigan for the first leg of the SBC-MAC Challenge, the Panthers open their home slate by hosting the second annual Capitol Challenge at the GSU Convocation Center, in which GSU will face Northern Illinois and former Sun Belt foe Little Rock.

Thanksgiving week features road games at Little Rock and Charlotte.

In December, the Panthers will play road games at in-state rivals Kennesaw State (Dec. 1) and at Mercer (Dec. 9). The game at KSU game will be the first meeting between these two Atlanta-area schools since 1989.

Along with the Dec. 16 trip to BYU, home games against Middle Georgia State and Toccoa Falls round out the December non-conference schedule before Georgia State opens Sun Belt Conference play by hosting Arkansas State on Dec. 30.

The final non-conference test will be on Saturday, Feb. 10 in the second game of the SBC-MAC Challenge, when the Panthers will host a to-be-determined foe from the Mid-American Conference.

As previously announced, Georgia State's Sun Belt slate consists of home-and-home with East Division foes App State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Marshall and Old Dominion. Against the West Division, the Panthers will host Arkansas State, Troy and Texas State while traveling to Louisiana, Southern Miss and South Alabama. GSU does not face ULM.

The annual home-and-home with rival Georgia Southern will open Saturday, Jan. 13 at the GSU Convocation Center, and then the Panthers travel to Statesboro the following Saturday, Jan. 20.

All 14 conference teams will participate in 2024 Hercules Tires Sun Belt Men's Basketball Championship, scheduled for March 5-11 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla.
