SPARTANBURG, SC --The Georgia State volleyball team could not out-play a dynamic Spartans offense Saturday on the road, falling to South Carolina Upstate in three sets (18-25, 13-25, 20-25).
Freshman Jahniya Jackson finished with six kills on the day to lead the Panthers attack. Jackson also pitched in with six aces in the contest.
Libero Livy Kowalkowski contributed 14 digs in today's match and averaged 20 digs for the three matches in the Wofford Invitational and was named to the All-Tournament team.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Panthers found themselves in an early hole, losing a tough first set 25-18. Georgia State trailed by as many as 10 points as South Carolina Upstate never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Spartans took control.
SET 2 | Georgia State lost set two 25-13, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Panthers lost the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Georgia State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Panthers came up short by the score of 25-20. Georgia State trailed by as many as 10 points as South Carolina Upstate grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was knotted up three times before the Spartans took over the lead.
