Hitting a Home Run in the Classroom

ATLANTA – Led by four student-athletes on the President's List, the Georgia State baseball team had one its most successful semesters with a 3.30 team grade point average for the spring 2023 term.

Luke Boynton, Brennan Hudson, Camren Landry and Duncan Lutz led the way by making the President's List, Georgia State's highest academic distinction signifying a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher.

A total of 34 members of the baseball team earned academic honors for the spring, including 16 individuals who earned Dean's List status with a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99, and another 14 student-athletes who made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher.

The success of head coach Brad Stromdahl's squad contributed to an outstanding performance by the Georgia State athletics department as a whole. The Panthers' department-wide GPA for the spring is 3.31, the second-highest semester GPA on record. The strong spring performance followed a 3.24 GPA last fall, giving the Panthers a 3.27 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year.
