ATLANTA, GA -- After four matches on the road, Georgia State was outpaced by in-state and Sun Belt foe, Georgia Southern, falling in straight sets Friday (14-25, 17-25, 14-25)Â at the GSU Sports Arena.Â
The loss dropped Georgia State's record to 5-15 overall and 2-7 in Sun Belt action.
Aaliyah Mitchell, Amanda Albertini, and Erin Wyatt each finished with five kills on the day to lead the Panthers offense. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Livy Kowalkowski had 12 and Jexsamarie Perez had 10.
The Panthers will face the Eagles tomorrow in an afternoon rematch. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. at the GSU Sports Arena. Follow the action via live stats and ESPN+.Â
