ATLANTA, GA --The Georgia State volleyball team could not overcome the Georgia Southern offense Saturday afternoon at home, falling to the Eagles in three sets (19-25, 21-25, 25-27).
The loss dropped Georgia State's record to 5-16 overall and 2-8 in Sun Belt action.
Akira Burt finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Panthers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .563. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Bella Ferary's 13, 12 from Erin Wyatt, and 10 more from Livy Kowalkowski.
The Panthers will face Southern Miss next Friday and Saturday at the GSU Sports Arena. This will mark the last home stand of the 2023 season.
