ATLANTA – Georgia State Athletics enjoyed one of its most successful semesters with a combined 3.24 grade point average for the fall 2022 term.
 
The 3.24 GPA marks the 29th consecutive semester that GSU Athletics has maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher, dating back to 2008 and equals the third-highest figure on record for the athletic department. The Panthers also posted a 3.24 GPA for fall 2021, and the only higher terms were  spring 2020 (3.40) and spring 2017 (3.30).
 
A total of 234 student-athletes earned academic honors with a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher, including a school-record 67 honorees on the President's List, Georgia State's highest academic distinction signifying a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher.
 
The Georgia State's women's tennis team set the pace with a 4.10 semester GPA, followed closely by women's cross country with a 3.99 GPA, beach volleyball at 3.97 and softball at 3.93.
 
Thirteen programs posted a team GPA above 3.0, with 10 teams at 3.4 or higher, including women's golf (3.86), men's golf (3.71), women's soccer (3.66), court volleyball (3.54), men's soccer (3.43) and women's track and field (3.41).
 
In addition to the 67 student-athletes on the President's List, 93 individuals earned Dean's List status with a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99, and another 74 student-athletes made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher.
