ATLANTA – To begin the
Terry Hutchinson era, Georgia State Volleyball announced its schedule for the fall 2022 season on Thursday. The 28-game slate includes 11 home matches featuring a brand-new court design and 17 away contests.
Georgia State will open the 2022 campaign by hosting Marist, Belmont, and SEC foe Auburn, for the annual Panther Invitational at the GSU Sports Arena, Aug. 26 and 27.
The Panthers then head on a long road trip, traveling to Jacksonville University to face Presbyterian, Jacksonville, and Chattanooga (Sept. 2-3) before heading to East Tennessee State University to compete against East Tennessee, USC Upstate, and Clemson (Sept. 9-10). The Panthers will then travel to Wofford to meet Presbyterian again followed by matches against Wofford and South Carolina State (Sept .16-17).
Sun Belt Conference play will begin for the Panthers in Conway, S.C. as they take on the Chanticleers on Sept. 23 and 24.
The Panthers will return home on Oct. 6 for the annual Dig Pink night against Appalachian State before facing them again on Oct. 7. Other home contests include matches against James Madison, Old Dominion and UL Monroe.
Alongside Coastal Carolina, the Panthers will be traveling to Marshall, Georgia Southern, and Southern Mississippi this fall.
The Sun Belt Championships will take place Nov. 16
– 20 in Foley, AL.

Clara Bednarek. The Panthers also add transfer

In the backrow, the Panthers will feature senior
Ryan Spicer-Gordon,
Olivia Kowalkowski, and the 2021 team's dig leader,
Ava Vlkovic.
The Panthers return setter
Jenna Brown, who finished her 2021 campaign strong, while adding freshman
Eva Wheeler, and transfers
Laughlin Murray and
Maren Palmer.
