Hayes' First Two Signees Are Talented Transfers Returning Home to Atlanta

ATLANTA -- Georgia State head coach Jonas Hayes announced that his first two signees for the Panther program are a pair of highly-regarded transfer guards, Dwon Odom from Xavier and Brenden Tucker from College of Charleston. Both players are Atlanta natives who return home to play for the Panthers.
 
Odom played two seasons at Xavier, averaging 6.4 points and 2.5 assists for his two season while shooting 55 percent from the field. With Hayes serving as the interim head coach, he scored 18 points in the Musketeers' win over Texas A&M in the NIT title game at Madison Square Garden. Odom returns to Atlanta, where he starred at St. Francis High School.
 
Tucker is from the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville and Dacula High School, where he was a 4-star prospect and a Top 10 player in Georgia. Over his last two seasons at College of Charleston, he averaged 10.5 points, including 11.3 per game in 2021-22.

Reached double figures in 20 games, with a high of 23 points vs. Presbyterian, followed by 21 vs. William & Mary and 20 vs. Loyola Maryland ...
