ATLANTA—The Panthers have solidified a No. 13  seed in the Sun Belt Basketball tournament, as announced by the Sun Belt Conference. 
 
Georgia State will face No. 12 Louisiana in game one of the Sun Belt tournament on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The Panthers and Ragin' Cajuns are meeting for the 29th time in program history and the 25th time in Sun Belt action and the second time this season.  A long-standing series dating back to the 2004-05 season, the Panthers lead the series 19-9, including a 17-6 record in conference play, and are 4-1 against Louisiana in the Sun Belt tournament.

The 2026 Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Basketball Championship will take place Tuesday, March 3-9 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., with all 14 conference institutions competing in the single-elimination tournament. 
 
All games will be broadcast on ESPN+ with the championship game televised by ESPN2. Local radio coverage on WRAS-FM 88.5 and/or WGTJ-FM 97.5 and the GSU athletics app.
