> Georgia State faces its seventh nationally-ranked opponent of the season as the Panthers play at No. 14 Georgia Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Foley Field on SECN+.
 
> Georgia will be the Panthers' 23rd nationally-ranked opponent over the last two seasons. Since the start of the 2021 season, Georgia State has knocked off five ranked teams, all ranked No. 15 or higher. Three of the five wins were on the road.
 
> Georgia State and Georgia played March 22 at Coolray Field. The Panthers trailed 4-3 after seven innings but UGA scored six in the eighth to win 10-3. The GSU pitching staff struck out 17 Bulldogs, one shy of the school record.
 
> Georgia State is second in the Sun Belt with 56 home runs, the team's highest season total since hitting 60 in 2014, and second in batting average at .295.
 
> The Panthers have the top two home run hitters in the league in Max Ryerson (14) and Griffin Cheney (12). Luke Boynton (9) is sixth.

> Two-way standout Cameron Jones is on the Watch List for the John Olerud Award. The starting first baseman is hitting .338 with four homers and 24 RBI, along with nine stolen bases. He is tied for fifth in the Sun Belt with five saves and has a 1.85 ERA.
 
> Infielder/DH Luke Boynton is Georgia State's leading hitter at .375. He is third in the Sun Belt in average while ranking sixth with nine homers.
 
> The GSU bullpen has an 18-6 record with 15 saves. That's the program's second-best season total for saves, four behind the school record of 19, set in 2009.
 
> The bullpen trio of Cameron Jones, Ryan Watson and Chad Treadway have combined for a 7-3 record, 14 saves and a 2.15 ERA in 41 appearances.
 
> Junior Ryan Watson saved two wins in each of Georgia State's Sun Belt sweeps vs. Little Rock, South Alabama and Coastal Carolina. He is second inthe Sun Belt lead with seven saves on the season. The right-hander is the Panthers' active leader with 10 career saves (tied for fourth in GSU history) and 13 career victories (T-11th).
 
> Georgia State earned a 6-1 win at No. 15 Clemson on March 15 for the Panthers' fifth victory over a Top 15-ranked opponent in the last two seasons. Griffin Cheney tied the school record with three home runs, and GSU pitchers Camren Landry, Chad Treadway and Joseph Brandon combined for 14 strikeouts.
