The Panthers' strong play carried over into singles as Chivu saw a decisive victory, 6-2, 6-3, at the top position and GSU took a 2-0 lead. Stanescu continued her stellar play for the Panthers on the third court with a win, 6-1, 6-2, to put GSU ahead an additional point, 3-0.
