Baseball Drops Game 2 at ULM

MONROE, LA -- Georgia State dropped Game 2 of its Sun Belt Conference series at ULM 5-2 Saturday at Warhawk Field.
 
Luke Boynton homered for the Panthers (14-9, 3-2 Sun Belt), but ULM (8-12-1, 3-1-1 Sun Belt) won for the second straight day to clinch the series, which concludes Sunday with a 2 p.m. ET game.
 
Boynton's two-run homer in the sixth inning pulled Georgia State within 3-2, but ULM added two runs in the seventh, both scoring on wild pitches.
 
Boynton, the current Sun Belt Player of the Week, hit his sixth homer of the season, five of them coming in the last six games.
 
The sophomore first baseman also had a single in the fourth inning, but the Panthers managed only three hits in the game.
