Jung, Mugnier Finish Top 20 for Men's Golf at Pinetree Intercollegiate

KENNESAW, Ga. – Sophomore Maxence Mugnier led the Panthers with a 2-under par 70 and Georgia State shot a final round 291 to finish in seventh place at the Pinetree Intercollegiate at Pinetree Country Club on Tuesday.

Mugnier made four birdies during the final round to finish in a tie for 17^th place at 2-over par. Freshman Jordan Jung led the Panthers for the week with a tie for 14^th place at 1-over par after shooting a final round 73.

The Panthers 3-over par round was their best of the event and tied for the fourth lowest of the day on Tuesday.

"I'm proud of the improvements we have made this fall," head coach Chad Wilson said. "We still aren't where we want to be, but this final round should give us something to build on going into the spring. We have played a lot of golf the last four weeks and it will be good for the guys to get some rest, catch up on their studies, and then we will start to prepare for what I know will be a great spring season."

Host Kennesaw State took the team title by eight strokes over Sun Belt Conference foe Arkansas State. Kennesaw State's Brock Healy earned low medalist honors at 6-under par.
