Lane Named to All-Bowl Team

Interception Helped GSU to LendingTree Bowl Victory

ATLANTA -- After his interception helped Georgia State win the LendingTree Bowl, Georgia State safety Antavious Lane has been recognized on the Associated Press All-Bowl Team.

Lane grabbed his team-leading fourth interception of the season in the Panthers' 39-21 victory over Western Kentucky.

The redshirt freshman from West Palm Beach, Fla., added five tackles to help the GSU defense hold WKU to 284 yards of total offense. Sixty of those yards came on WKU's late scoring drive, against GSU backups after the game had been decided.

Lane's interception was the first against WKU QB Tyrell Pigrome all season, ending his streak of 278 consecutive passes without an interceptions. It also tied the GSU record for interceptions in a season.

A second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection, Lane led the league with 0.5 interceptions per game (4 in 8 games).
