Former Georgia Prep Standout Ja'Cyais Credle Joins Panther Program

ATLANTA -- Ja'Cyais Credle, a former all-state wide receiver from Columbus, Ga., has transferred to Georgia State after one season at UCF.

After signing 14 high school prospects in the December signing period, the Panthers have further bolstered their 2021 roster with the addition of three transfers in Credle, quarterback Darren Grainger (Furman) and outside linebacker Shamar McCollum (Wake Forest).

The 6-4, 195-pound Credle was a standout at Carver High School in Columbus, where he was an honorable mention all-state selection by Recruit Georgia in 2019. He was also a preseason all-state pick, a two-time all-region choice and a two-time honoree on the All-Bi-City team by the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

Credle was also a basketball standout who helped Carver to 2019 Class AAAA state title.

At UCF in 2020, Credle played in nine games, including one start, as a true freshman and caught six passes for 54 yards.
