ATLANTA -- Georgia State's season-opening football game against Murray State will be played under the lights on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. at Georgia State Stadium.

The game will air on an ESPN platform to be announced.

The Murray State game will be one of three Thursday night games for the Panthers, who are scheduled for two Sun Belt Conference contests on Thursdays with the Oct. 15 game at Arkansas State and the Oct. 29 home game against Coastal Carolina.

Georgia State will be opening the season with a Thursday home game for the fifth time and with a non-Saturday game for the 10th time in its 11 seasons of play. In their first decade, the Panthers played four Friday openers, one Wednesday and one Saturday along with the four Thursdays. GSU is opening the season at home for the 10th time its 11 seasons.
