Favorite Memories: The UpseT

Panthers Remember Unforgettable Day in Knoxville

Ask any member of the 2019 Georgia State football team for a favorite memory, and it is likely to involve orange.

Lots of it.

And any member of the #PantherFamily who was at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 would agree that the Panthers' 38-30 upset at Tennessee was packed with indelible memories.

Seniors Dontae Wilson and Jonathan Ifedi and junior Cornelius McCoy, who caught a 17-yard touchdown pass in the game, share some of their recollections Georgia State, celebrating just its 10th season of football, knocked off its first SEC opponent and Power 5 opponent. GSU out-rushed the Volunteers 213-93 and outscored UT 24-13 in the second half.

Georgia State is scheduled to open the 2020 season by hosting Murray State on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Georgia State Stadium. Season tickets for the six-game home slate are on sale now by visiting GeorgiaStateSports.com/TIX or calling 404-413-4020.
