ATLANTA – Georgia State head coach
Rob Lanier announced Tuesday the signing of Sunrise Christian Academy's Collin Moore who has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Panthers.
Moore, a 6-5, 200-pound guard hails from North Little Rock Ark., and becomes the third freshman signee of this Panther class.
He is listed by 247Sports as 3-star prospect, the No. 5 player in Arkansas, and the 81
st-best shooting guard in the nation.
"Collin is a very talented and athletic guard who adds competitiveness and toughness to our program," Lanier said. "His combination of size, skill, and athletic ability make him a versatile perimeter player who will give our backcourt quality depth. Due to his strong work ethic and positive attitude we believe he has the potential to be an outstanding player."Â
Last season at Sunrise Christian Academy he averaged 12 points and six rebounds a game for the No. 6-ranked post-grad team in the country.
Prior to last season, Moore earned All-State honors while at North Little Rock High School. Following his senior year, he scored 20 points playing for the East in the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Boys All-Star Game and was named MVP.
As a junior, he averaged 15.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while being named Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Prep. He led North Little Rock to the Class 7A State Championship.
Georgia State finished the 2019-20 season with 19 wins in Lanier's first year at the helm of the program. The Panthers have won 19 or more games in four-straight seasons and have now been postseason eligible in seven straight seasons.
