ATLANTA - The Panther Insider Podcast Driven by Ford returns for Episode 48 as we welcome former quarterback Conner Manning to the podcast. Manning joins the Voice of the Panthers Dave Cohen to talk about the Panthers win over Western Kentucky in the 2017 AutoNation Cure Bowl, the same opponent these Panthers will face in the upcoming LendingTree Bowl on Dec. 26.
Manning was named the MVP of the AutoNation Cure Bowl as he led the Panthers to a 27-17 victory over Western Kentucky for the first bowl win in school history. He completed 20 of 28 passes for 276 yards, highlighted by a 42-yard TD pass to Roger Carter on a flea flicker.
Manning was a two-year starter at quarterback and two-time All-Sun Belt honoree. He passed for 5,830 yards and 30 touchdowns in 22 games for the Panthers.
