ATLANTA - The Panther Insider Podcast Driven by Ford returns for Episode 43 as we welcome the first 1,000-point scorer and Georgia State Hall of Fame member Jim Jacobs to the podcast. Jacobs joins the Voice of the Panthers Dave Cohen to talk about what Georgia State was like back in the 1960's to what it has become now.

Jacobs was a four-time letterwinner in basketball and three times in baseball while at Georgia State in the 1960's. He was the leading scorer for the University in both 1966-67 and 1967-68 seasons and was the school's all-time scoring leader from 1969 to 1986. Jacobs 37 points against Armstrong State set the single-game record which stood until 1971. In baseball, he pitched a complete game to beat Vanderbilt for GSU's first baseball win over an SEC opponent. He graduated from Georgia State in 1970 with a degree in journalism.

The Panther Insider Podcast Driven by Ford launched in August 2019 and has featured coaches, administration, along with current and former student-athletes. The semi-weekly podcast will tell the stories of GSU student-athletes, coaches, and all those surrounding the Georgia State Athletics program.

The podcast will be available on a variety of platforms including, but not limited to Apple Store, Google Play, and Spotify. Just search for the Panther Insider Podcast on your choice of platforms or listen below.
