ATLANTA – Redshirt-sophomore guard
Justin Roberts has been named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a 2-1 week while averaging 17.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.
Roberts opened the week just missing a triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and a steal in a 30-point win over Middle Georgia State.
On Thursday, he finished with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Panthers topped Appalachian State 69-60.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native closed out the week with 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals as Georgia State's comeback at Coastal Carolina came up just short.
For the season, Roberts is averaging 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game while shooting 83.8 percent from the free throw line.
Georgia State will conclude a three-game, five-day road trip on Monday night facing Arkansas State at 8 p.m. ET.
