All Girl Squad Finishes Strong at UCA National Championships

ORLANDO - Last weekend the Georgia State All-Girl Cheerleader squad competed for the first time in school history at the Universal Cheerleaders Association's (UCA) College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando Florida.

The team qualified for the championships by being a trophy winner this past summer at the UCA College Camp held at East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tenn.

In Orlando the team placed ninth in the nation among some of the strongest NCAA Division I All-Girl squad in the country including ULM, Bowling Green, UMass, New Mexico, San Diego State, Ole Miss, Temple, and the division winner UNLV.

The team gained overall improvement, strength of performance, experience, and great exposure at the championships. Led by head coach Darryl Lyons, the team is highly motivated lead and bring more exciting performances to our Panther fans, as well as return to the 2021 championships with even more success.
