ATLANTA – Redshirt-sophomore Justin Roberts has been named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a perfect 2-0 start conference play while averaging 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
 
Roberts opened the week filling up the box score with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, and a career-high tying five steals as the Panthers topped UT Arlington in a rematch of last year's Sun Belt Conference Championship Game 83-77. Roberts went a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
 
On Saturday, Roberts sparked a late 18-4 run in Georgia State's 81-69 victory over Texas State. Roberts finished the game with a team-high tying 17 points while knocking down three 3-pointers and going a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
 
For the season, Roberts is averaging 11.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. He is shooting 80.8 percent from the free throw line.
 
Georgia State will return to the court on Monday night traveling to Dallas to face SMU at 7 p.m. ET.
