Panthers Can't Overcome Turnovers in Loss to Bulldogs

Hosendove leads Panthers with 14 points.

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell to Alabama A&M 67-52 Tuesday night at the GSU Sports Arena.

The Panthers were led by Taylor Hosendove who in her second game narrowly missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. The transfer from Clemson also had a pair of assists.

Alabama A&M built a slim lead in the second quarter and never turned back. The Panthers clawed back and pulled within 10 in the final period but the Bulldogs hit their free throws down the stretch to put the game away.

AAMU forced GSU into 27 turnovers and scored 25 points off those turnovers. The GSU defense forced 19 turnovers of their own, but converted those into just 15 points.

Freshman Taylor Henderson joined Hosendove in double-digits with 10 points. She also finished with four rebounds. Fellow freshman Joelle Johnson added eight points with four rebounds.

The Panthers fall to 0-4 on the season and will spend Thanksgiving on the road in El Paso, Texas. GSU will face New Mexico State on Friday and UTEP on Saturday as part of the UTEP Thanksgiving Classic.
