ATLANTA- Sophomore Arina Taluyenko had a big day, but it was not enough ast Georgia State fell to Oregon 6-1 Saturday afternoon. Taluyenko is now 2-0 in singles play this season.
Arina got her win over Daniela Nasser 7-5, 6-7, 10-4. Kristin Rehse and Damira Muminović both forced third sets in their singles matches.
In the doubles portion of the match Daniela Ramirez and Anastasia Grosheva ralled from down 2-0 to take a 3-2 lead. The pair led the match 4-3 when Oregon clinched the point.
GSU will be at home next weekend for a Saturday doubleheader. The Panthers will host Emory and Coastal Carolina. Both matches will be played at the Piedmont Park, Home of GSU Tennis.
