What you need to know:

·       No. 8 Georgia State (10-2) hosts the GSU Diggin' Duals this weekend at the GSU Beach Volleyball Complex.

·       The Panthers take on Eckerd and Lincoln Memorial on Friday and UL Monroe and UNCW on Saturday.

·       Admission to the Diggin' Duals is FREE!

ATLANTA – Georgia State's eighth-ranked beach volleyball team is ready to have fun in the sun, hosting four teams for the third annual GSU Diggin' Duals at the GSU Beach Volleyball Complex beginning Friday morning at 9 a.m. and running through Saturday evening.

This season's competition features No. 8 Georgia State (10-2), Eckerd (6-4), UL Monroe (2-7), UNCW (3-8) and Lincoln Memorial (1-7). The Panthers will play matches at 1 and 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

1 p.m. – GSU vs. Eckerd

3 p.m. – UNCW vs. UL Monroe

5 p.m. – GSU vs. Lincoln Memorial

Saturday

9 a.m. – UNCW vs. Eckerd

11 a.m. – Lincoln Memorial vs. UL Monroe

1 p.m. – GSU vs. UNCW

3 p.m. – Eckerd vs. Lincoln Memorial

5 p.m. – GSU vs. UL Monroe

The Panthers have two wins over top-10 opponents in 2016 as GSU looks to make a return to the AVCA National Championships in May. Georgia State's only two losses this season are against No. 1 Pepperdine and FAU. GSU's top pair of Sara Olivova and Jansen Button were named the CCSA Pair of the Week on Tuesday after a perfect 3-0 weekend. The All-American duo now sits at 11-1 on the year.

The GSU Beach Volleyball Complex is located behind the GSU Sports Arena and the entrance is on Piedmont Ave. next to the Georgia State MARTA Station.
