Ravin Gilbert is Sun Belt Sprint Champion (Again)

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Georgia State senior Ravin Gilbert won the Sun Belt Conference Indoor 60m championship Tuesday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Gilbert, the senior from Winter Chapel, Fla., clocked a 7.36m time in winning today. That was .01 off the GSU school 2005 mark of Sheriee Willis.

Gilbert has dominated Sun Belt sprinting the past two years. As a junior, she won the 60m indoor title, the 100m outdoor title, the 200m outdoor title and the 4x100m relay outdoor title for five gold medals now.

Gilbert will race again Tuesday in the 200m race.

Georgia State is off to a fast start with 42 points in the Sun Belt Championships, sitting in 2nd place at 3 p.m. ET.

In today's 400m run, Sydney Davis of GSU finished sixth in 56.38, a personal best, to earn three points for the Panthers.
