TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - At the first day of the Florida State Tournament, Georgia State's fifth flight of Alexis Townsend and Delaney Rohan went undefeated in pool play.
The Florida State pair tournament started off the weekend with pool play. Pairs were divided and put into one of six pools. Georgia State had seven pairs total.
The Georgia State pair defeated pairs from Florida State, UL Monore and Georgia State. Townsend and Rohan were in Pool D, but were the only Georgia State pair to go undefeated.
In Pool A, Sara Olivova and Jansen Button went 2-1. The pair defeated South Carolina's third pair and UL Monroe's second pair, but lost to Florida State's top pair.
In Pool B, Georgia State's No. 1 flight of Moriah Bellissimo and Katie Madewell went 2-1 as well. The Panther duo defeated South Carolina's No. 2 flight and UL Monroe's third flight, but lost in straight sets to Florida State's second flight.
