The Sports Medicine Department consists of certified athletic trainers working under the direction of team physicians to prevent, evaluate, and provide treatment and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses sustained by GSU intercollegiate student-athletes. GSU's primary athletic training facilities are located in the GSU Sports Arena and at Center Parc Stadium, with satellite facilities at the baseball, softball, and soccer complexes. In addition to managing injuries, GSU's athletic trainers work with specialists on campus and in the community to provide services in the areas of sports nutrition and sports psychology.

Medical Forms: All student-athletes – new or returning, recruited or walk-on - must complete and submit a packet of medical forms before being allowed to participate in any official team activity.  Medical forms can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here.

Drug Testing Policy: A comprehensive drug testing policy is in place to prevent and deter the use of banned and illegal substances by student-athletes, to protect the health and safety of student-athletes, and to promote fair competition and optimal performance.  The entire policy can be viewed by clicking here.
