ATLANTA, Ga. (Feb. 27, 2007) ? Georgia State will play its final game of the regular season Thursday when the Panthers host league-leading Old Dominion at 6 p.m. in Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball action. The contest will mark the final home game for senior guard Kelcey Roegiers-Jensen (St. Petersburg, Fla.) as the Panthers prepare for the upcoming CAA Tournament.
The Panthers (15-13, 7-10 CAA) are looking to snap a season long four-game skid. Georgia State has an opportunity to finish seventh in the final CAA league standings with a victory and can finish no worse than eighth with a loss.

With a win, the Panthers would earn their 16th victory of the year and guarantee their ninth winning season in the last 10 years. State is 8-4 at home on the road this season and 3-5 on the road against conference opponents.
State trails Old Dominion 3-0 in the all-time series after dropping a 75-54 decision to the Lady Monarchs (19-8, 15-1 CAA) on Jan. 11 in Norfolk, Va. A victory earns the Panthers a regular season split of the series.
Old Dominion, which is receiving votes in the lastest Associated Press and USA Today Poll, has won 15 of its last 16 games, including a 62-57 home win Sunday over then No. 22 James Madison. The win lifted ODU a game ahead of Delaware and James Madison in the standings. The Lady Monarchs are 6-6 on the road and 6-1 on the road against conference opponents.
Senior guard Kelcey Roegiers-Jensen (St. Petersburg, Fla.), paces State's offense, averaging 18.0 ppg, which ranks 41st nationally in scoring average. She is fourth on the team in rebounding at 5.4 boards per contest and leads the team in assists with 6.6 per outing, ranking 5th nationally. Her 81.9 percent free throw shooting is tops on the squad and is listed 80th in the nation. Roegiers-Jensen is also one of the Panthers' top 3-point threats, connecting at a 33.7 percent clip (86th in the nation) from beyond the arc and making 2.0 treys (98th nationally) per game.
Freshman forward Danyiell McKeller (Fayetteville, N.C.) is fifth on the team in scoring (8.1 ppg) and second in rebounding (6.3 rpg). Another freshman, guard Tabitha David (Mableton, Ga.), is averaging in double figures, totaling 10.3 per contest to rank third on the team. David is the team's top 3-point threat, connecting at 40 percent from beyond the arc and leads State with 59 treys. Her 3-point field goal percentage and 3-point field goals made per game (2.3) rank 27th and 54th, respectively, in the nation.
Sophomore center Marcquitta Head (Conley, Ga.) is Georgia State's top rebounder, collecting 8.4 boards per game, which is 85th nationally; she scores 10.9 points per contest, ranking second on the team. Sophomore guard Brittany Hollins (Columbia, S.C.) is having an all-CAA type season, holding averages of 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds 5.3 assists and 3.4 steals per game. Her steals per game average leads the CAA and is listed 5th in the nation, while Hollins' assists per game average is 25th overall.
Junior T.J. Jordan is Old Dominion's top scorer, averaging 14.6 points per contest. She leads the league with 85 three-pointers Sherida Triggs (9.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg) also contributes. Tiffany Green is the Lady Monarchs' top rebounder (6.4 rpg).
