NORFOLK, VA. (Oct. 28, 2007) The Georgia State men's soccer team (4-10-1, 1-7) fell 5-0 on the road against Old Dominion (10-5-1, 7-1) on Sunday.
A.J. Kulp scored first for the Monarchs, capitalizing on a break in the Panthers defense with 13 minutes left in the first period. Three minutes later, Dylan Montambo found the back of the net to put Old Dominion up 2-0 at the half.
Old Dominion dominated the flow of the game, holding the Panthers on only four shots compared to its 27.
The Monarchs opened the first half more aggressively and scored just five minutes into the period. With 36 minutes left in the period, Ambane Emmanuel scored on a breakaway to extend the lead to four. Just four minutes later, Trevor Banks headed the ball in the back of the net to clinch the victory.
Georgia State hosts James Madison on Friday at Panthersville at 3 p.m. followed by a Sunday match up against VCU for Senior Day.
