2011: Turned in very strong first year with the Panthers, playing 28 matches at setter with 16 starts... Led team with 929 assists (9.20 per set), placing fifth among all CAA players... Had 40-plus assists in nine different matches, including a season-high 66 in a five-set win over George Mason Oct. 28... Helped teammates Muki Kangwa (3.71 kills/set) and Vineece Verdun (3.33) to two of the highest kill rates in the league and all-conference honors... McGrew also finished fourth on the squad with 195 digs, racking up a season-high 16 against the Patriots Oct. 28... Also finished fourth on the team with 0.41 blocks per set... Reached four total blocks in a match against Ohio Sep. 17 at the Bash in the Boro and again vs. UNC Wilmington Sep. 24... Tossed in 58 kills on the season... Had a season-high seven in a homecoming match Sep. 20 at Kennesaw State, helping the Panthers rally to a five-set win.
2010 (University of Mobile): Starred for one season with the Rams under head coach Jon Campbell... Played in all 31 of the team's matches, finishing second on the squad with 412 assists... Added 142 digs... Was third on the team with 43 service aces and tied a school record with 15 aces in one match.
PREP: Lettered three times for coach Tonya Kern-Honea at Kennesaw Mountain High School, earning MVP, all-county and all-state honors her senior season...Was named second team all-county her sophomore and junior years... Team reached the state finals her sophomore year, the quarterfinals her junior year and final 16 her senior campaign... Captained the squad during her final two seasons... Also competed at club level for Tsunami, A5 and Cobb Atlanta under GSU assistant Kelly Audia.
PERSONAL: Kaylee Elizabeth McGrew is the oldest of four children to Nathan and Christine McGrew... Was born July 18, 1992 in Dallas, Texas... Has three younger brothers (Matthew, Cade and Luke)... Majoring in early childhood education.
