Registered 14 digs against William & Mary (9/22) ... Picked up 20 digs at Delaware (10/19) ... Posted first career double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs against George Mason (10/28) ... Had a career-high 26 digs with 15 kills for double-double against Northeastern (11/3) ... Tallied career-high 17 kills with 20 digs in double-double performance against UNC Wilmington (11/10) ... Earned four letters for the Trojans under coach Holli Stetson ... Helped team to the Colorado Class 4A tournament after placing second in the Class 4A Region B tournament, recording 42 kills and 26 digs in the tournament ... Led Class 4A in kills her junior season, earning All-Colorado Honorable Mention honors ... Played club volleyball for the Northern Colorado Juniors 17-Black team and advanced to nationals twice (2005 and 2006) ... Squad won 37-35 in game three of national qualifier to reach the national level...Emily started strong on her high school tennis team, advancing to the State tournament in second doubles, then winning the regionals as a sophomore at first singles.

Emily Nicole Dewey was born Dec. 27, 1988, to Patrick and Carla Dewey in Longmont, Colo. ... She has two older brothers (Chad, 25; Chris, 22) ...A college football fan, she follows her father’s alma mater Nebraska, but has become a fan of LSU and Georgia in the SEC. So, she is awaiting the start of football at Georgia State...She is also a fan of her hometown Denver Nuggets of the NBA...Enjoying the outdoors of Colorado, she likes time to snowboard and wakeboard... Emily hopes to coach volleyball at either college or high school after graduating from Georgia State, so she expects to go on to graduate school to get a master’s degree ... She is majoring in sociology.
