Saw action in 22 games as a freshman, garnering 197 minutes of playing time behind All-CAA Danyiell McKeller and top five CAA rebounder Shay Rawls.
Finished rookie year with 52 points, 40 rebounds, 6 blocks and 6 steals...Shot .600 for the season from the field, making 21 of her 35 field goal attempts...Was .833 from the free throw line, making 10 of her 12 attempts.
Scored 7 points for season bests, both against CAA opponents...Hit 2-of-2 shots and 3-of-4 free throws against James Madison (1/24) and 2-of-3 shots with 3-of-4 free throws at Towson (2/12).
Seven was also her season-best rebounding game that she produced twice...Pulled down seven vs. Drexel (2/25) with four offensive and three defensive, then repeated that the next game vs. George Mason (2/28) with three offensive and four defensive.
Scored six points in a game three times...Top steals game was 3 at Hofstra (1/10)...Scored a basket in her very first collegiate game at Kennesaw State (11/14).
Logged most minutes against Drexel (2/25) with 26 played and against George Mason (2/28) with 22 minutes.

A three-time All-State pick by South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association and a two-time first-team pick at 24-5 Wilkinson High in Orangeburg, S.C….

PERSONAL:
Born and raised in Orangeburg, S.C., the daughter of Bobby and Sandra Sumpter..Is the third youngest of four children, with older brother Travis and older sister Brittany, while sister Jasmine is the youngest of the family.
Sister Brittany played at Charlotte and Johnson C. Smith and is a high school teacher...Mom Sandra was also a high school basketball player.
Plans to major in childhood education.
