Necole Sterling

Necole Sterling joined the Georgia State women’s basketball program in May 2026 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. 

Sterling most recently served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at LIU Brooklyn, where she helped engineer a 15-win improvement while mentoring multiple all-conference selections, including a Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. 

Prior to LIU, she spent two seasons at Winthrop, contributing to the program’s first winning season in a decade. She began her coaching career at Northwest Florida State College, where she helped guide the program to the 2023 NJCAA National Championship while working with multiple All-Americans. 

The Los Angeles, California native graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s in liberal arts in 2015. Prior to being a Hurricane, Sterling spent her first two years of college at Gulf Coast State College.
