Deandra Schirmer joined the women's basketball staff as the graduate manager in June, 2013, while she works towards her master's at Georgia State in Sports Administration.

She is a graduate of USC-Aiken College, where she played two seasons for the Pacers basketball team in the Peach Belt Conference. Schirmer had played her first two collegiate seasons at Cloud County (Kan.) CC. Schirmer majored in business marketing at USC-Aiken.

As a player, Schirmer often led her teams in rebounding, including nine per game average and a top game with 19 rebounds at Cloud County. She was all-conference and all-region at Cloud County.

Born in Holton, Kan., Schirmer was all-state in basketball and volleyball at Holton High School. She was also valedictorian of her high school class.

The 24-year old is the daughter of Charles and Susan Schirmer.
