CAREER

Played 59 games in two years at Georgia State...Scored 685 points (11.6) with 322 rebounds, 138 assists and 114 steals...She had 37 double-figure scoring games at GSU...Had six games of 20 or more points, topped by a 25-point game...With freshman year at MSTU, she played 80 NCAA games, with 736 total points, 378 rebounds, 144 assists and 131 steals...In those 80 NCAA games, she had 39 double-figure scoring games and eight double-figure rebounding games...Played sophomore season in junior college at East Mississippi (32 games) and scored 496 points (15.5) with 253 rebounds (7.9) as a junior college third-team All-America pick...At GSU, she had one triple-double game and three double-double games. She had one game with double-figure assists (11).

2010-11

The team leader in scoring (378, 13.0) and steals (57), Burtts was also second in assists (57) and rebounding (185, 6.4)...She played 29 of the 31 games and started 22 games...She produced 23 double-figure scoring games and five double-figure rebounding games as a senior...She had five double-double games.

Her top game was 25 points at Wiliam and Mary (2/20) with 11-of-17 field goals and 2-of-3 three-point baskets...That game topped her 23 points earlier in the season in a win at Bethune-Cookman (11/23), her 22 points vs. Rice (11/28) and her 21 points at UNC Wilmington (2/17).

She had a personal-best 13 rebounds in the opening game win over Mason in the CAA Tournament (3/10), when she also had 15 points...That topped her 11-rebound game in the win over Hofstra (1/9).

She tied her career-best steals game with six in a win at Northeastern (2/27)...She had a personal-best three three-point baskets vs. Old Dominion (1/13).

2009-10

Burtts made an immediate impact as she averaged 10.2 points a game, grabbed 4.6 rebounds, while making 81 assists (2.7), 57 steals (1.9) and 15 blocks...In the CAA, she was 11th in steals and 13th in assists, just missing the top 20 in scoring...For GSU, she was third in scoring, second in assists, third in steals, third in blocks, fourth in rebounds and third in three-point baskets made.

Produced a rare triple-double game (one of only four in school history) with 19 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a win over Murray State (11-27)...Had a double-double game in a win at George Mason (1/28) with 16 points and 10 rebounds...Netted 14 double-figure scoring games in her first year at GSU.

Season highs included a pair of 20-point scoring games...She hit 9-of-10 shots, including 1-of-1 from three-point range and 1-for-1 from the free throw line in the win over Nicholls State (12/12)...Her 20 points against Drexel (2/25) was on 7-of-13 from the field, 3-of- 6 outside the arc, and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.

Her offensive output included three games with 16 points, against UNC Wilmington (1/3), at George Mason (1/28) and home against George Mason (2/28)...She scored 15 points (7-of-11 FG) in her first game at GSU, in the opening win at Kennesaw State (11/14), when she also had 7 assists.

An excellent passer, Burtts had 11 assists vs. Murray State (11/27), 7 at Kennesaw State (11/14) and vs. Georgia Tech (12/22), with 5 at Iona (12/18) and at Delaware (2/14). Her 11-assist game saw her have no turnovers.

Her defensive bests included 6 steals vs. Troy (11/28), 3 blocked shots at Delaware State (12/16), and two 10-rebound games (at George Mason, 1/28, and vs. Murray State, 11/27). She also had two 9-rebound games (at VCU (1/31) and at Delaware (2/14)... In addition to her 6-steal game, she had 4 steals vs. Nicholls State (12/12) and 4 vs. UT Martin (12/29). She had 3 steals in five other games.

She had 12 games with five or more rebounds... On the offensive glass, she had six rebounds vs. Murray State and 5 at Delaware.

Four times, Burtts played all 40 minutes of a game and logged 922 minutes on the season (31 per game). She made 15 three-point shots, topped by the three vs. Drexel and three vs. Murray State.

2008-09 JUNIOR COLLEGE

Burtts was a JUCO All-America pick (third team) with East Mississippi Community College, advancing to the 16-team National Championships u n d e r C o a c h Sharon Thompson.

Led the 25-7 squad in scoring (15.5 points per game) and total rebounds (250, 7.9 per game).

In addition to All-America, Burtts, was All-Region 23 and All-MACJC (Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges) North first team pick.

Led the team with 22 three-point baskets, while leading the team in steals (72) and being second in assists (70).

Shot 47% from the field and 70% from the free throw line... Blocked 19 shots with a best game of four blocks.

Burtts scored 20 or Burtts scored 20 or more points in a game 10 times last year for the Lady Lions, topped by a 27-point game (8-of- 14 field goals, 10-of-11 free throws) and a pair of 26-point nights on 11-of-18 and 10-of-19 shooting against Itawba and Holmes.

Added a pair of 25-point games as well to give her five games of 25 or more and 10 games of 20 or more points for the season.

The 6-foot-tall leader had 10 double-double games....In the eight tournament games last year for EMCC, averaged nearly a double-double in those games with 14.3 and 9.5 averages.

She grabbed 10 or more rebounds in a game 10 times last season, led by a 19-board game that included seven offensive rebounds...Burtts had two games with 13 rebounds and three games with 12 rebounds.

Top game of seven assists and a two best games with six steals...70.3% free throw shooting average included a perfect 8-for-8 game as well as a 6-for-6 game and two 4-for-4 games...Season-high free throws was 10-for-11 game vs. Holmes.

Started team on its 11-game winning streak late in the season and scored 16 or more points in nine of those 11 wins for EMCC.

2007-08 NCAA - MTSU

As a freshman, Burtts played 21 games at Middle Tennessee State, averaging 2.4 points and 2.7 rebounds a game in her first year that included 200 minutes of playing time. ..Grabbed 56 rebounds and scored 51 points.

Scored 12 points (5-for-5 FG) with five rebounds in 11 minutes in win over Western Carolina.

Netted 10 points in a win over Troy and had a team best 10-rebound, eight-point game vs. North Texas as she logged 20 minutes.

Was part of Blue Raider team that went 22-12 and advanced to WNIT and was ranked in top 25 during season.

First game in college was at Old Dominion in Norfolk as she played seven minutes with three rebounds and two points.

First college start came against No. 3 Maryland as she played 14 minutes with a pair of rebounds.

Led her Blue Raiders' team with five rebounds in just 10 minutes vs. No. 1 Tennessee...Had five points, three rebounds and two blocks in seven minutes vs. South Alabama...Had six rebounds and seven points in 22 minutes vs. Denver.

Says she dunked the ball in high school during practice and then showed her MTSU teammates in practice she could dunk.

PREP

A McDonald's High School All-American nominee at 24-6 Rockdale High Bulldogs in Conyers, Ga., Burtts averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds a game, while shooting 51 percent for her career.

Was All-Area first team from 2003-06 seasons and was twice named Rockdale Citizen Player of the Year...Twice named All-State (third team) by Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Team advanced to Class 4A playoffs three times and advanced to Elite Eight in 2003-04.

She was also recruited by the University of Georgia, but chose MTSU...Was also offered scholarship by Louisiana Lafayette coming out of JUCO.

PERSONAL

Angelique Sharece Burtts was born March 18, 1988...Daughter of Angela Burtts and Arthur Thomas...Has four brothers and a sister...One of her brothers, Angelo, is her twin...Sister Lakeia Stokes played at Clemson (Class of '04) with 953 points and 463 rebounds.

In addition to basketball, was also a long jumper and 200m sprinter with track team at Rockdale County High... Placed fifth at the state championship meet with a 17-03.5 long jump.

One of her first goals after obtaining her college degree is to play professional basketball overseas...Major is sociology.
